Admiral Robert Papp and Norwegian Ambassador Kåre Aas visit PGC

Retired U.S. Coast Guard Admiral Robert Papp, U.S. Special Representative for the Arctic and the State Department lead on Arctic issues, and the Norwegian Ambassador to the United States, Kåre Aas, recently made a stop at the Polar Geospatial Center, kicking off their Midwest outreach trip. Their other stops included the Norway House in Minneapolis, Chicago, and Ohio State University.

During their visit to PGC, we gave them an overview of our work, a tour of our facilities, and a briefing on ArcticDEM, our project to produce a publicly available, high-resolution digital surface model of the entire Arctic.
