What I Do
As one of the full-time User Services staff members at PGC, my responsibilities entail managing science or logistics project support, coordinating data requests, and providing geospatial solutions for our users. Sometimes this involves deploying to McMurdo Station, Antarctica for a portion of the austral summer to provide direct support to researchers and operations personnel. In addition, I serve as the Education and Outreach Lead by informing users and the public about PGC services and products.
Education
- M.Sc. Geographic Information Science for Development and Environment, Clark University, 2016
- B.A. Geography & Art History, Macalester College, 2009
Interests
As a born and raised Minnesotan, I know no bad weather and can be found outside when not in the office. I enjoy bicycling, snowboarding, camping, and geocaching. When indoors, I am typically reading, painting, cooking, or building forts. My fond of travel has exceedingly grown after living abroad in Asia and Latin America. All said adventures are enjoyed exponentially more with my husband and three children.
